Naranon Family Group is primarily for you who are or have been in despair because of abuse problems with someone who is very close. We have also felt this despair and have found a solution through peace of mind.
When you join the Naranon family groups, you are no longer alone but among friends who understand your problem as few others do. We will respect your confidence and anonymity, as we know that you will respect ours. We give you an assurance that there is no situation is so severe and no misfortune so great that it can not overcome.
Our program is not a religious program but a spiritual way of life, based on the NA twelve steps. We have seen that these steps help to solve virtually all drug related problems. Please take our program and the twelve steps seriously. It has been helpful to us in the same manner as NA program is to the addict. We ask only for insight and courage to see ourselves as we really are and to do something by ourselves using a higher power, as we perceive it.
We ask for the gift to be able to let go of our addicts with love and cease trying to change them.
Have an open mind and go to as many meetings as possible. Ask questions and discuss problems together after the meeting. You’ll soon make new friends and feel great community with the group.
When we understand that addiction is a disease and realize that we are powerless over it, as well as to other people’s lives – when we prepared to do something useful and constructive with our own lives. When – and only then – can we be of help to others.
